Biography

Jennie Jackson completed a Doctorate in Visual Arts at the Queensland College of Art in 2009. Jackson was highly commended for her work in the 2008 Alice Art Prize and was awared the Theiss Acqusitive Award in 2006.

Jennie Jackson is fast becoming recognised for her highly detailed landscapes of mythical forests, engineered from early 19th century fashion plates.

Recent exhibtions for Jackson include: 2008 Sunshine Coast Art Prize, Caloundra Regional Art Gallery; Veneer, Metro Arts Brisbane, 2008; The Great Divide, Artisans, Brisbane 2008; 2008 Stanthorpe Art Prize, Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery; Fresh Cuts, Institute of Modern Art, 2007; Entwined, Land Partners, Brisbane, 2007; and A Wild Tapestry, N&A One Night Only, ARC Atelier, Brisbane, 2007.
