Ken Yonetani

Ken Yonetani was born in 1971 in Tokyo, Japan. He lives and works in Sydney, NSW.
Yonetani completed a Bachelor of Economics in Japan and worked in the Foreign Exchange Market in Tokyo for three years. Following this, he was an assistant for pottery master, Toshio Kinjo, oldest son of Jiro Kinjo, National Living Treasure of Japan.

In 2005 Yonetani completed his M.A. at ANU School of Art and is currently a PhD candidate at the Sydney College of Arts, University of Sydney. He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions including the 2008 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art; and the 2009 Blake Prize Finalists Exhibition, The National Art School Gallery Sydney. 
In 2009 Yonetani represented Australia in the 53rd Venice Biennale of Art.
